London rodent control has probably been one of the most requested services in the last 8 weeks. Other than bed bugs, which I am always being called for treatments, Rats and Mice have been the one constant over the last couple of months.

Mainly due to the change in weather and them entering homes via holes that people are not aware of. I expect this to carry on for another 8 or so weeks before it dies down a little.

What I see when I look beneath most people kitchen units would scare them to death if they looked themselves. When I remove the plinths to carry out proofing not only do I find droppings, sometimes dead rodents and rubble or rubbish from previous tenants, but the holes that some properties have are awful.

I blame holes, in some cases, on builders that have cut corners and in other just general wear and tear that comes with time and the assistance of a rat or mouse scratching and digging out a hole to make it big enough for them.

Mice will enter a property and then breed, in ideal conditions they could do this every six weeks!! That is a lot of mice running around your home, urinating as they go, climbing over everything in your cupboards. Rats, well, you don’t want rats running around your home, the damage and disease risk is very high.
